Tropical Green Smoothie Bowl
This tropical smoothie bowl is such a healthy and nourishing way to start the day! One of my favorite combinations is mango, banana and kale and I topped this one with chia seeds, raw coconut shreds and fresh clementines! I love adding citrus into my meals for an extra Vitamin C boost, which helps the body absorb iron more efficiently. In this recipe there is plentiful iron within the kale leaves! Chia is such an easy way to get in Omega-3 Fatty Acids fats and are a high quality source of plant protein. Try this one out and let me know what you think! Always use organic when possible.
Ingredients:
2 frozen bananas
1/2 cup frozen mango (best deal is to buy this at Trader Joe’s)
5 leaves organic raw kale (stems removed)
1 cup organic plant milk (I used almond milk from HEB)
1-2 TB chia seeds
handful raw coconut shreds
1-2 clementines
Prep Steps:
combine bananas, mango and almond milk in a high speed blender and blend until smooth
transfer smoothie into a bowl and top with chia seeds, coconut and clementines
dig in and love your body with every bite
